Hockey Day

On Thursday 12th October, Children from Years 5 and 6 enjoyed a great experience as they took part in a Hockey Day at Redlands. While they had tried hockey before, none of them had done it on a scale like this. The activities involved learning and applying new skills and drills, while there were also some matches that took place later in the day. As the schools were mixed with each other, it also presented a great opportunity for the children to mix with new people. St Augustine’s P.E lead, Mr Pask, said, ‘This is the first of a number of sporting events that we are hoping to take part in this year. This was a great success, and we thank Redlands for hosting such a great day.’
